This was an idea I knew I had to try after I saw my great-aunt Clara's shadow box that contained a wedding photo and her veil. It's taken me forever to actual do it (my wedding was in August), but that was mainly because the cleaners didn't call me to tell me when the dress was done...

The emotional side of me was sad to cut up my wedding dress, but the practical side of me knew I would never have another use for it otherwise and it would just rot in my closet for the next 70 years. This way, I can see it all the time and enjoy it all the time.

I was very nervous about making mistakes, but thankfully they were few. They were easily covered up as well by some of the flowers. I had a lot of help from my husband :iconjfreak29:. It probably wouldn't have turned out so well without him.

I might try to make one more yet out of the bust of my dress. We'll see how that one turns out.

Thanks! It was the first shadow I had every tried to do, but it really encourages me to do some more. I think I might try to do a groom one yet as well. Can't let them feel left out :)
